Chris Joyner's upcoming sophomore album "Domino" due out May 12th will knock you over with deep marinated soul and downright feel good funk. Produced and mixed by Scott Seiver and mastered by S. Husky Hoskulds, the album's first single—just released "Hold & Keep" will show exactly why Chris Joyner is in demand. Currently on tour with Heart Chris Joyner has also toured with greats that include Ray LaMontagne, Jason Mraz, Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, Amos Lee, Citizen Cope, Jack Johnson, Sara Bareilles, Ben Harper, The Madden Brothers, and Mason Jennings.
The opening track "Hallelujah" rejoices in Chris Joyner's rich voice and a beautiful blend of piano, horns, and rouse the city streets celebratory rock and roll. Title track "Domino" keeps the party going with "holy rolling" lyrics. The album plays through with a subtle but inviting vibe that will glue you to your record player which is how we envision this album best plays out.
"I'll Be Fine" exemplifies late night club jazz music that goes down like smooth scotch. While there are reflecting slower moments on the album to revel in like in "You Never Meant Nothin'" overall, "Domino" plays cover to cover on an upbeat note. Ending on "Take Back" Chris Joyner's ten track album offers a warm haven for those who crave music that evokes an ambience to savor.
